An earlier movie, but positively entertaining...

Wow, now when I saw this movie, the superior work put into this just surprised the hell out of me. Of course, your future movies are better and more planned out, of course, but the simplicity of the entire movie just shows that you're a unique person with artistic traits.

And now, the part of the review that people are going to down-rate me for. I try to help, but I end up being no help at all.

~Animation~
The animation was superb, I do have to admit. Your attempts at the animation of the movie were ALMOST flawless. Almost, being a semi-relevant term. You have definitely improved over the years.

~Voices~
I know that this is how you talk for real, but I'm sorry...this just annoys, the HELL out of me. It seems that sometimes there's just no effort put forth into the voices at all! Most of the time, their down-right hilarious, but the other little bit of the time is just plain stupid. I like how you guys don't try to go out of your way with all these voices though, so to that I have to say great job on the voices overall.

~Art~
Again, like the last movie of yours that I reviewed, it seems same-old same-old, but this is one of your earlier pieces so therefore it's fair judgement when I say that the art could've been a whole lot better. Although, I see that you put forth a lot of effort into the scene where it's just scrolling across and the crew looks all buff and manly. Awesome job.

Overall, this movie is positively one of your very best! I can't wait to see more comedic value put into things like this though. I'm not saying that it wasn't funny though---it was hilarious.

Overall, 8/10, 4/5.

I am watching...

while I'm writing. I have to say, this is definitely one of your better concepts in flash movies. Your talent and skills, when it comes to flash movies, never ceases to amaze me...and that isn't an insult.

~Animation~
Very spectacular, although a little bit buggy and edgy in different places here and there. It just looks un-natural in some different parts. I can't really give any instances, knowing that they're just little bugs in just every little knook and cranny; since most of your viewers probably don't look towards and on through the inner details, nothing will be of trouble. Of course, this won't go un-biased.

~Voice Acting~
Whenever it comes to voices, Edd, you in peticular, it just doesn't seem that you don't get into character. No insults or anything of the sort to you, it just plain bothers me a lot. For instance, whenever something exciting happens, you're still pretty quiet. Although, you're improving by far of what you were before-hand. All voices were well-done though.

~Art~
The art was same-old same-old: very cartoony and very different...although, at the same time, so much the same. Different amounts of particular effects didn't seem to be an issue here. The art was probably one of the better aspects of this animation.

If you can get this done in about a year's worth of work including a bunch of different small animations in-between it....although, I have no idea when you have started on this. I'm only assuming that you started once you had a little break from Movie Makers being finished.

Great Job.

Overall: 7/10, 4/5.

Well, a few quirks, yes...

When there's a basic black & white movie like this, I just knew that it just couldn't be perfect. I wish that I could say that it was perfect...but no....just no.

First off, the artwork itself wasn't that great. Yeah, it's definitely better than mine, by far. I was expecting more though. I could tell that you were using symbols by what was there in the different parts of the character. The head, body, etc.

Now, the animation also applies to what I said above. You were becoming too reliable on the symbols. For instance, when he was bending his knees, you could definitely tell when the lower legs and upper legs seperated. It's a very sad fact indeed....

Also, please, I beg you, PLEASE add music next time. It's just annoying when you listen to just sound effects over and over again.

Good job overall. Please work on this in the future.

Overall: 6/10, 3/5.

Soupcat responds:

Neih...It was just something quick to get me animating again.
It's gonna stay like this forever.

So....wackier, huh?

Although I do have to admit that jokes of being retarded and stupid like they're supposed to sound like, sometimes you just made them like, "What the fuck? Why'd he even try with this one?" It's....interesting, I guess you could say.

The artwork itself was zany and wacky like it's supposed to suggest, but sometimes it just looks like this is just a xeroxed cartoon that doesn't involve any movement or action at all. The humor is there, I do have to admit. More motivational movement could've been put forth into what the art seemed to be though.

Animation was very well thought out of how you were supposed to do it all. The timing of every sound affect and voice tied in perfectly with what was going on on-screen and off-screen, which is what you want to do whenever you are a major animating cartoonist. It was done well.

Bravo, bravo is what I have to say to you. You brought some different kind of parody-like animation and humor to newgrounds that not many others could ever achieve without using the actual characters. You didn't even have to do that! You used your own original characters for this kind of thing. That's very well impossible in some cases, but it looks like you did it with-out even batting an eye. Good luck on your future animations and comics (as seen on dA (I would like to see them on here also though)).

Overall: 7/10, 4/5.

Pretty good.

The concept of the story was overall pretty good, but I didn't really get was going on at first. With no voice actors or anything of the sort, I just couldn't really get what the hell what was going on. I finally understood a little bit later.

The artwork need a hell of a lotta work on the living man....or just the characters in general. There shoulder's were way to broadened out for their body size and it looked like it just cut off to their necks. Not to mention the background could've used a little bit more work. I know the entire idea was probably something like sepiatone or black&white, but still. A little more effort would've been appreciated.

Pretty good though.

Overall: 8/10, 4/5.

DisobeyMe responds:

Yeah, black and white people really is my thing. xD

Pretty damn good.

Now, I understand that most fans are probably going to chew me out for not giving it 10/10 stars for an overall score, but some things just plain straight-up bugged me. The movie itself was funny. It was well animated and drawn (will be a few things that bugged me though).

Now, voice acting seemed to be an issue (in my eyes). I thought that maybe the actors could've gotten into the act of their character more than anything. Some lines just felt like they were under-acted; like maybe they should've just been re-done a little bit better.

Drawing didn't seem to be much of an issue here. You mastered the zany artwork that was supposed to come into this flash movie and the rest of the series, and it all worked out. A few things just disturbed me (not that there are a bunch of cock, vagina, or any other sexually related jokes). Probably the fact that the perspective of the buildings seemed to be a little off? I don't know. I can't describe it at all.

Overall, this flash was very well made. The animation was fluent, the artistic value seemed to match the humor of this movie. Like I said, voice acting could've been done just a little bit better, but who am I to say anything? You're the one that decided that this was the best, so I'm not going to judge. Godspeed on your future animations.

8/10, 4/5.

Well I'll be.

Two decent, well-drawn videogame parodies in one week? I'll be damned. It's a very unique way of doing things, back to the way of that old anime cartoonish style.

The animation itself was very fluent, I have to say. It was a very impressive piece of work. From her laying her hand gently on the mouse to zoom shots and sound effects at the right time. Although, the animation itself seemed a bit hazy; I wasn't able to view it that well at all, so to speak.

The artwork was perfect. Nice textures, perfect colors, and of course the perfectly drawn expressions for her face. It was all well done perfectly and looked like it was pretty good.

Overall score: 9/10, 5/5.

Believe me sir.

It's been hard to get a 10/10 from me lately, but some-how, you've done it. This movie shows not only the quirks of life in itself but also the joys and happiness that life could bring; not just your life, but the joy that you bring into some-one elses life.

The artwork I do have to admit could've used a little work, but that doesn't bother me. The animation value makes up for that fact though. I love the grand concept too.

Cheers, to you, my good friend.

Ah, yes. The fan works.

I'm sorry, but I'm not so much a fan of these kind of works at all. They're just rip-offs of what could be full-blown potential of a talented animator wasting his/her time on the little things of, "what other fans care about" or "if he/she did this, then I could." You know what I classify this as?

Complete. Bullshit.

I mean, I don't see what the big deal is with these kind of things. They're just over-shown works that show no originality at all. These all pique my curiosity, yes, but they all end in the same result: as boring as the original was the 3rd time watching.

I'm sorry man, but this is just wrong. I'm sure that there's many more regions of imagination to explore than just fan-work.

5/10, 3/5.

Read The Description... dick! ¬.¬

Ah, very well made.

It's hard to find a decent drawn out Mario parody now-a-days. Especially Dr. Mario. I find the song itself very clever at the most (hats off to you, Brent), yet it seemed to be very past the basics that he tries to stick to. Of course, I'm not here to rate Brent's song, now am I?

Your animation was very fluent and creative. I liked how everything came together pretty much at once. The affects were on a very light form, which shows that you actually put forth a lot more effort then most drawing animators out there.

Your artwork could use a little work though. It looked like everything seemed to be off it's axis, tilted a little I should say, by just a little bit. The background, the characters, etc. It could be improved if you tried hard enough. Very good, my friend, very good.

Overall, this animation is what I would recommend for anyone, of age, of course, to watch. I, myself, are too under-age, but I view these movies for the general purpose of entertainment, not to show that I can disobey filters to the parental advisement system. Good luck in your future movies, my dear sir.
